Job Description
An Auto Insurance Advisor (or Agent) helps clients protect their assets. You aren't just selling a policy; you are analyzing a client's risk and recommending the right coverage to prevent financial ruin.
Key Responsibilities
- Prospecting: Cold calling, networking, and generating leads to find new clients.
- Consulting: Analyzing a client's needs (e.g., teen driver, new house) and explaining coverage options (Liability vs Full Coverage).
- Retention: Conducting annual policy reviews to keep existing clients happy and prevent them from switching.
- Cross-Selling: Offering Home, Life, or Renters insurance to existing auto clients.
Requirements & Skills
- State License: You MUST pass your state's Property & Casualty (P&C) licensing exam.
- Sales Ability: This is a metrics-driven role. You must be comfortable hearing "No."
- Communication: Ability to explain complex legal terms (deductibles, PIP, liability limits) in simple English.
- Education: High School Diploma required; Bachelor's degree preferred but not mandatory.
